Chelsea held in Austria

FORMER Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis made his debut for Chelsea as they were held to a 1-1 draw in Austria by RZ Pellets.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho fielded a team full of youngsters for the second pre-season fixture, in which Jeremie Boga scored a late goal to secure the draw.

Meanwhile, Andros Townsend scored a late winner as Tottenham claimed a 3-2 victory against Toronto FC at BMO Field.

Erik Lamela had netted a first-half brace for Spurs before the home side came back with goals from Andrew Wiedeman and Jordan Hamilton. Second-half substitute Townsend struck the winner with five minutes left.

Aston Villa impressed as they recorded a 2-0 victory over the FC Dallas. Andreas Weimann struck at the end of the first half and Charles N'Zogbia doubled the scoreline just after the break at the Toyota Stadium.

Crystal Palace were held to a 2-2 draw in Columbus, Ohio.
