There's home-movie footage of her maj on holidays and in unscripted moments. Simon Billing, who planted a tree with the British queen in 1962, is interviewed, along with John and Frances Canning, the newly married couple who were amazed at their VIP wedding guest.

TV3, 9pm Cleaner Pauline Farrelly is up second to host, but will a lack of experience cost her the ultimate prize? Perhaps asking guests to dress as celebrities will divert attention from the cuisine. If the cooking skills fail to impress, Dave Lamb's narrating will surely give you a few giggles.

Chaplin: The Waterville Picture
RTE1, 10.15pm Charlie Chaplin (left) is one of the most iconic figures of 20th century comedy. The megastar of his age first visited Waterville, on the Ring of Kerry, in 1959 and every year thereafter until 1969.
What promises to be a fascinating documentary will explore the reasons behind his visits to the village and recall some local memories of the silent movie legend.
