Campbell to spin his yarns at festive lunch

The ballroom of the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin is expected to be full next Thursday when British spin doctor extraordinaire Alastair Campbell is the guest speaker at the Marketing Society Christmas lunch.

Campbell has had a colourful career in journalism and as a media adviser to the Labour Party, most notably as Tony Blair's strategist.

Campbell is a lifelong fan of Burnley FC, nicknamed The Clarets. Let's hope he puts on a vintage show and gives full value for his €15,000 fee.
