Camogie set for Buster weekend of action

NO better place than Shelbourne Park on a Saturday night. The camogie convoy will be heading there next Saturday.

It's their annual big fund-raiser, 'A Night at the Dogs.' A tenner will get you admission, a race programme and a whole lot more.

You will also be entered for camogie's Buster Draw where the top prize is a weekend break at the Citywest Hotel. The same tenner will see your name in the hat for the Camogie Club Draw where you could win a set of jerseys for your club.

Earlier in the day, as well as the Kilmacud Sevens, the All-Ireland U14 Blitz takes place and will involve 30 counties and 1,200 girls.

Then it will be Super Sunday at Croke Park with the All-Ireland final treble-header that features the junior clash of Meath v Down at noon, the intermediate tie between Galway and Derry (2.0), and then the main event of the three-in-a-row chasing Wexford against Cork.

managed

At least this time, the Wexford boss, JJ Doyle, won't have to do a Paul Daniels! Last September he had to be in two places at the one time as he managed the Wexford intermediates and the seniors to All-Ireland glory.

Kildare's Alan Lagrue will referee the big one. Also in the crew are Dublin duo, Karl O'Brien and Gerry McGough.

The ticket prices are €30 for an adult, €5 for U16s, and €15 for students and OAPs. Group passes are available.
