CAMOGIE NOTES

•Best of luck to the Dublin players and management who take on Carlow in the final of the National League Div 4 on Sunday in Donaghmore Ashbourne at 1pm. Huge support expected. This game is followed by the Div 3 final, Armagh v Wicklow, at 3pm.

•Tough luck to the Dublin seniors who, despite a great second-half performance, suffered a four-point defeat to Offaly in the National League Division 1 League at O'Connor Park, Tullamore on Sunday.

•Our thanks to Dublin GAA, who have given the go-ahead to hold the Dublin Camogie Féile na nGael finals 2012 in Parnell Park on Sunday, May 27. It is hoped to hold the finals of all five divisions that day. Should be a great occasion. Further details later.

•The third and fourth referees' courses are being held over two Mondays, April 16 and 23 in Naomh Peregrines and Ballinteer St Johns. The first night of the Ballinteer St John course has been relocated to Kilmacud Crokes' clubhouse for the 16th -- starting time 8pm -- but the 23rd will be in Balinteer St. Johns as originally planned also at 8pm and will be held by Derek Oman. The Naomh Peregrine course starts at 8.15pm and will be held by Paul Beecher and Donal Ryan

•Race the Rás - the Camogie Association is encouraging current or former camogie players who may be up for this challenge to participate in this year's Race the Rás which takes place from Sunday May 20th to Sunday, May 27. Race the Rás are raising funds for Aware and the Breast Cancer Research and are looking for as many entrants as possible to this year's event. See camogie.ie for details.

•Reminder to all club administrators, mentors and players that all decisions reached by the Transfer, Hearings and Discipline Committee (THDC) are made independently of County Boards and Provincial Councils. The THDC informs County Boards and Provincial Councils of their decisions. Appeals, etc cannot be made to County Boards or Provincial Councils. Check on Camogie.ie for THDC's remit and guidelines.
