Busy Nadia eyes London move despite landing role as Telly dominatrix
Top beauty Nadia Forde may be following in the footsteps of her model pals by forsaking Dublin for a bigger city.
The brown-eyed babe (23) has been spending more time working in London as she makes new contacts in all the right places ahead of a potential move across the pond.
One top talent agency has taken a particular shine to the Clontarf beauty and has had several meetings with Nadia as she looks at all her career options for 2013.
A trained singer and dancer, she has also been making forays into acting after appearing in a music video for rapper Luke Bingham.
She also appeared in a number of TV ads, including a steamy one for a shower that saw her strip off.
Confirming that she has been looking at new projects, Nadia said: "There's lots of opportunities over there so it's going to be exciting to see what happens."
This week saw the Celebrity Salon star beginning rehearsals for her stint in the Alan Hughes panto.
She'll make her debut in the Yuletide production, joining performers such as Brian Dowling and Niamh Kavanagh.
And she also stepped into the shoes occupied by Georgia Salpa this week as she made an appearance on hit RTE show The Republic Of Telly last Monday.
She took on the role of the weekly saucepot as she donned a dominatrix outfit and poured hot tea over a moaning Bernard O'Shea for a skit called 50 Shades Of Tay.
devoured
Eager Nadia did her research: she devoured all three books by EL James.
"Some of it is a bit out there, but I read all three and the second one is by far my favourite. It does get a bit repetitive, but if it gets women talking about sex, I think that can only be a good thing.
"When I got a call about the role, they said I was playing a dominatrix and to bring some stuff with me, but RTE had the whole outfit ready to go when I got out, which was a bit of a surprise.
"It was hard to keep a straight face when we were shooting.
"Bernard is one of the funniest guys ever and we had such a laugh doing it.
"I didn't even know it was going out this week until I started getting lots of Tweets with the words 'latex' and 'tea' and it became obvious pretty fast. I filmed a few things for them, so I don't know if they'll run them together or space them out, but it's a great show to work on."
