Bronzing? What are your options

Sue Conley

Let's start this slow. I don't know about you, but those few days of sunshine we had made me reach for the bronzer again.

So let's just ease into the increased use of make-up with tinted moisturiser.

BENEFIT You Rebel, €33 HIIII This is light in every way, in tone and in coverage. I had to use so much of this to feel like I was tinted at all, that I honestly couldn't see the point. As a moisturiser, it is only okay, to add insult to injury. Give it a miss.

CLINIQUE Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15, €28 HHHHI Loved this quite a lot, much more than the Clinique foundation (which we will talk about next week.). This made me look smooth and youthful. However, as with the Benefit, I did feel as though I had to use too much product.

DERMALOGICA Sheer Tint Moisturiser in Medium SPF 15 €37.55 HHHII Super fantastic on the moisturising; only okay on the tinting. I could layer it on and on, but I felt like, it shouldn't be taking this much product to get some colour on my face, should it? It felt so cooling and soothing, though, that I didn't mind much.

BOBBI BROWN Tinted Moisturiser Oil Free SPF 15 in Medium, €36 HHIII Hmm, I wonder should they re-introduce oil into their oil-free concoction, because this was extraordinarily sticky -- sticky as I applied it, and sticky on my face. It didn't make applying the rest of my make-up any easier, either.

OMOROVICZA Complexion Enhancer, €110 HHHHH I think that this one maybe has magic in it? Okay, 'magic' is not listed on the ingredients, but I still think it came out of fairyland. Its coverage is the best and its tone is just lovely, with the right amount of warmth to give you a healthy glow. This is gorgeous and you'll be, too.
