Brogan fires Model warning

WEXFORD be warned - Bernard Brogan reckons he was "rusty" despite scoring 2-5 against Louth on his first Dublin appearance of the season.

Now the 2010 Footballer of the Year is hoping to be sharper still when Dublin resume the defence of their Leinster and All-Ireland crowns at Croke Park this Sunday.

Brogan believes the four-week break between Dublin's 16-point victory over Louth and this Sunday's Leinster SFC semi-final against Wexford has been "crucial for me personally.

"I didn't have much time before the first game to get my hands on the ball because I was coming back from injury," he explained.

"I've been able to get my hand-eye co-ordination a bit better. It was rusty the last day for the first few minutes.

"But hopefully, with four weeks of good training and a club championship match in, I'll have a better eye in on Sunday."
