Boost for IFSC as 100 jobs created
Process management company Abtran is expanding its operations in Dublin's IFSC and is taking on an extra 100 people.
Abtran currently employs over 2,000 people in Ireland, with 50 employees already located at its IFSC offices and working on-site across its client network.
The company is now planning its next phases of growth on an international basis.
The announcement was made yesterday by Jobs Minister Richard Bruton.
"Financial services and technology are key sectors which we have targeted as part of our Action Plan for Jobs, and part of our strategy has been to support the development of the strong base of Irish companies which we have built up in this area," Mr Bruton said.
"Abtran is a great example of the type of Irish company we are trying to support in this area - a highly innovative, fast-growing company which is taking advantage of the base of multinational companies we have here in Ireland in order to grow its sales.
"This is a great boost," he added.
