Boom costs revealed
CONSTRUCTION activity accounted for €16.2bn to the economy in 2007, new figures show.
This represents an overall 9.8pc on the gross value added, a measure of economic growth, according to the Central Statistics Office.
Construction paid workers a total of €11.3bn in the year at the height of the building boom.
