Bomb attack on embassy
An unidentified attacker hurled a homemade bomb and fired several gunshots at the French embassy in Mali's capital, wounding two Malians.
The blast in Bamako appeared to be small and caused only minor damage to an outer gate of the building.
The attacker lit a small gas cylinder and threw it towards an entrance to the embassy.
The man then fired several pistol shots before being detained by security forces.
It was not immediately clear whether the attack was terror-related.
Sister due for Holly's Harry
TV presenter Holly Willoughby has revealed she is to have a baby girl.
The pregnant host told viewers of This Morning following a 20-week scan.
Willoughby, who already has a son called Harry, is expecting her new addition in May. She told ITV viewers: "I can't keep it a secret. It's so exciting -- Harry is going to have a little sister."
The presenter (29) said it was also a strain to think of what to call the baby.
"The only problem is, we had boys' names -- loads of boys' names and we can't think of a girl's name."
Couple deny torture death
A couple accused of killing and dismembering a man at a downtown Los Angeles hotel have pleaded not guilty to murder.
The Garcias have been charged with murder and torture in the November killing of Herbert Tracy White.
A hotel maid found his dismembered body stuffed in a backpack and under a bed.
Authorities believe the Garcias were trying to rob White, who had befriended them and gave them money.
Help, my wife is a real demon
A Malaysian man abandoned his wife after a temple medium convinced him that she was a demon who wanted to kill him.
The wife, who gave her name as Loh, said: "The medium told my husband I had been casting spells on him for the past 15 years.
"He refused to eat or drink at home because he thought I poisoned the food."
Loh said the medium was heavily in debt and likely taking advantage of her husband.
