'Big' hits town for Titanic pal's stag night

The well-known actor, who played Big in Sex And The City, created a stir after he was spotted hanging out in VIP haunt Lillies Bordello before continuing the party in Buck's Townhouse.

He's going to be spending lots of time on these shores over the coming weeks after signing up for the €22m TV mini-series Titanic: Blood and Steel.

But it's clearly not all business for the strapping star, judging by his outing earlier this week.

He was making the most of his time in Dublin after being seen hanging out with his Titanic co-star Gray O'Brien, who played Coronation Street villain Tony Gordon, as well as Gerard McCarthy, who played Kris Fisher in Hollyoaks.

The gang started off their evening at Marco Pierre White's restaurant on Dawson Street before heading round to the Grafton Street club.

A source said: "Chris came in with a big group of cast and crew from Titanic. One of them was celebrating his stag do, so they were all up for a good night.

"They were straight in just as soon as the doors opened at 11pm and were all in really good form.

"They were brought to a table in the VIP members area and were all in really good spirits. Naturally, the girls were all over like a shot to get a better look at him. He was in great form and had no problem posing for pics with fans."

Not content with checking out one club, he then headed down to Buck's Townhouse, where he stirred up similar excitement.

Currently staying in the Shelbourne Hotel, he seems to be relishing his time in Ireland -- speaking this week about his fondness for the country.

He said: "I love it. I've enjoyed the opportunity to come here. Ireland certainly is beautiful in the sunshine. I should say Dublin, because I haven't been outside of Dublin, but rain seems to accommodate the city quite well also."

Noth plays wealthy Titanic financier JP Morhan in the TV series and hopes the drama, which also stars Neve Campbell (left), will show another side to the well-known story.
