Ballymun boys have it all their own way
BALLYMUN KICKHAMS 3-13, ERIN'S ISLE 0-7
CURRANER'S Colts had three goals in the bank as they went in for the jaffas in Parnell Park on Saturday afternoon.
Their fourth round appointment against Tower's of Clondalkin in the Evening Herald Dublin SFC looked cemented in the diary by the interval.
And essentially it was, yet credit the Finglas club who offered more than spirit in the second half, with the commendable John Noonan again showing his class.
It was 3-7 to 0-3 at the turn, and there was no coming back from that. Ballymun's opening goal at the church end was a neat finish from Kevin Leahy.
Conor Weir's low strike brought the second, and just on the blow of the break, Ted Furman's 20-metre soccer style effort added the final gloss.
Noonan and Dublin minor of this season, Danny Fegan, hit the first two points of the second period. Fegan's point was a bit special as he arrowed it over from wide on the left. But the 'Mun never left the cockpit. Dean Rock slotted over some tidy frees, and Elliott Reilly's elegant point summed up the slickness and industry of the Ballymun Boys.

Davis stay on course
THOMAS DAVIS 2-13, ST PAT'S, PALMERSTOWN 1-8
CIARAN FARRELLY'S goal ten minutes from time was enough to guarantee Thomas Davis a place in the fourth round after an evenly balanced Dublin SFC tie at O'Toole Park on Saturday.
Pat's started well notching 1-1 in three minutes with Paul Faughnan finding the net. However, they failed to score for the remainder of the half with Seán Reilly's goal helping Davis to a 1-8 to 1-1 interval advantage.
Pat's, with Dublin senior hurler Liam Rushe to the fore, burst out of the blocks on the restart, closing the gap to just a point with 15 minutes remaining before Farrelly kickstarted a strong finish by the Tallaght men with his goal.
