THANKS to Gerry Seaver and his team of coaches for running a very successful Kellogg's Cul Camp last week at our pitch, with 152 children in attendance. A great week was had by all. Thanks to all the parents who helped out those who were on duty during lunch break ,those who helped clear away all the footballs/equipment and tidy up every afternoon. OUR Hero of the Week this week is a long-time playing servant of the club, who won many honours in his years as a stylish, classy forward and score-getter. Our seniors and intermediates had fine wins in the league last weekend, but hard luck to our junior team, who lost to a brilliant Fingallians team, pipped at the post by a point in the Championship semi-final in a terrific sporting game. WELL done to the second adult football team, who beat St Brigid's to qualify for the Junior Championship semi-final. The senior footballers continued their good league form by beating St Mary's on Saturday evening. Our senior ladies footballers had a great 3-6 to 1-11 win over Westmanstown in the Cup. Congrats to Niamh, Caoimhe, Aishling and Sarah, who lined out for Dubs U16s camogie team in the Championship win against Antrim. Well done to all who represented the club in the Inter-County Hurling and Camogie Blitzs over the weekend. Congratulations to senior footballer Stephen Lynch and his new bride Ciara Dempsey, who were married on Friday last. Castleknock Nursery is on a well-earned break and will restart on 22nd August. CONTINUED league action this week, with two more games down for decision. Our firsts take on Whitehall Colmcilles at Islandbridge. 7.30pm tomorrow evening, Tuesday 21st, in AHL6. Our seconds are also at home in Islandbridge on this Thursday 23rd in AHL9 action against Sylvester's, also at 7.30pm. Mixed results in last week's league encounters with our slightly-depleted firsts going down to a strong Realt Dearg side at Drimnagh Castle and our seconds recording a nice win against St Pat's in Donabate. Darren McCarthy taking the honours there with a total of six goals after being shown the way by Enda Burke with an early goal, before making a quick exit at half-time to catch the Galway train. Our Annual Dog Night and main club fundraiser in association with African charity VITA proved very successful on Friday evening last 17th July at Harold's Cross. The club would like to thank all our sponsors on the night and well done to all our ticket sellers. THE U12 boys brought home the first silverware of the year by winning the Terence Reilly Shield up in Rockcorry, Co Monaghan over the weekend. The club would like to thank all at Rockcorry for all their hospitality on the day. Men's team continued their fine league form with another win over the weekend against Ballinteer St John's. Well done to U12 girls' player Megan McGarry, who played at half-time for Dublin at the Lenister Ladies Final today in Dr Cullen Park, Carlow. No winner of this week's Lotto. BIG week for the club as we embark on our second Annual Jim Boggan Cycle. This is taking place this Saturday the 25th of July and involves a grueling 100 mile cycle from Jim's resting place of Taghmon to Lorcan O'Toole Park. We are asking all members not taking part on the day to join us in the club on Saturday night to remember and celebrate Jim's life. We will keep you updated as best we can on the day of the group's progress, so you can be there when they arrive. Last week, the first of the Summer Camps took place, with over 140 kids attending over the course of the week and with the second week running today, we should see another great turnout. WELL done to our senior hurlers, who recorded a 5-19 to 2-14 win over O'Toole's in the SHL. The Cuala adult football section unveiled their new training and leisure kit, sponsored by Nitro, at their AFL1 game against Thomas Davis in Hyde Road on Saturday. This is the second year that Nitro have generously acted as the principal sponsor of the football section. The well-attended match turned out to be an exciting, well-contested game that ended with the spoils shared on a scoreline of 2-12 each. Hard luck to the second footballers, who lost out to Na Fianna by 3-16 to 5-7 in AFL5 on Sunday. Better news for the third team, who scored a massive 4-22 against Kilmacud Crokes' 1-1 in AFL8. The ladies football team made it 3 wins from 4 in the Championship last week, after beating Naomh Mearnóg 3-8 to 1-7, and now lie second in their table. Hard luck to Jennifer Dunne, Eimear Loughlin and the Dublin U16 ladies footballers, who were beaten by Kerry in the All-Ireland semi-final in Nenagh last weekend. PRESIDENTIAL visit this Saturday: An tUachtarán will arrive at 10am to officially open our new all-weather facility. The morning will consist of underage games, dance, music, history board presentation and TV interviews. All members past and present are most welcome and are asked to attend from 9.30am. Championship Final: Are Junior B footballers had the narrowest of victories over Ballymun, 2-7 to 1-9, to reach the Championship decider, but unfortunately our Junior D footballers were beaten v St Jude's in their semi-final. Further details on the final to follow. That will be against Bank of Ireland. Both teams recovered from the mid-week games to record important league victories at the weekend and remain in contention for promotion. Leinster Medals: Dublin senior ladies captured their 4th successive Leinster crown v Westmeath by 7 points on Sunday afternoon. Well done to Sinead, Fiona, Niamh & Emer. Hurling Camp: Another very successful Hurling Camp in the club last week, with over 150 participants. Many thanks to all who attended and helped out in trying weather conditions. A special thank you to the Dublin players, Alan Nolan and Daire Plunkett, who popped in on Thursday. IT was great to see 5 Foxrock/Cabinteely players listed on the match programme during Sunday's Leinster Senior Ladies Final. Sinead Goldrick, Amy Connolly, Hannah Noonan and Niamh Collins were part of the Dublin panel and Fiona Claffey was part of the Westmeath panel. Dublin won by 7 points and secured their 4th Leinster title in-a-row. The day was even more special for Sinead Goldrick, when she was named Player of the Match. As well as her excellent performance in the game, Sinead also scored 3 points. Congrats Sinead, Amy, Hannah and Niamh and commiserations to Fiona. While Westmeath may have lost, they still have the qualifiers to look forward to and we're sure that we'll hear more about Westmeath - and particularly Fiona - as the season progresses. The focus for all 5 ladies will now switch to the Dublin Senior Club Championship semi-final, which will likely be the week of July 27th. Members will be informed when the details are finalised. Commiserations to Sinead Delahunty and her Tipperary team-mates, who lost by 1 point to Roscommon in the Intermediate Championship. Commiseration also to Lauri Ahern and Laura Fusciardi, who were part of the Wicklow team who lost to Limerick by 2 points, also in the Intermediate Championship. Like Sinead, Amy, Hannah, Niamh and Fiona, Lauri - Laura and Sinead still have the Dublin Senior Championship to look forward to. Friends of Dublin Hurling will run a bus to the game, leaving Connolly Station at 12pm and Blanchardstown Shopping Centre [opposite Starbucks] at 12.30pm. They must now wait for the final game, when Clare play Derry next Saturday, before they know if they have qualified for the All-Ireland quarter-final, which will be against Wexford at Innovate Wexford Park on Saturday August 1. Friends of Dublin Hurling and the Dublin Camogie Board came together and subsidised a supporters' bus to the game. The supporters were very vocal and really helped the team get over the line. Well done to all concerned. Needless to say, a supporters bus to Wexford will be organised when the time comes.

WEEK of mixed results last week, with intermediates winning one and losing one in the league. Ladies suffering first defeat of the season and juniors winning at home in the league. Intermediates lost away to St Sylvester's on Monday evening by 0-13 to 0-10, but had a good home win on Saturday, coming out on top against Whitehall by 0-12 to 0-10. Next league fixture on August 22 at home to St Jude's. Juniors beat Na Gaeil Oga on Sunday morning by 3-8 to 1-10. Next fixture on 28th July, away to Ballymun Kickhams. Ladies were defeated for the first time this season, away to Castleknock in the Cup by 3-6 to 1-11. Next fixture is this Wednesday evening at home to Kilmacud Crokes in the Championship. Throw-in at 7.30pm. Club monthly committee meeting on this Tuesday night at Westmanstown at 8pm. Full turnout expected.

OUR adult hurlers and footballers are continuing strong in their Championship games. THE Annual Mass for the deceased members of St Maur's GAA Club will be held in Aras Naomh Maur on Thursday the 6th of August at 8pm. Our senior footballers won out at home against St Sylvester's on Saturday night in a tight game by a point. Maur's second footballer team won also against Naomh Mearnog at home on Sunday. Congratulations to Naomi Clare and Sinead Moran with the Dublin minors, who took on Cork in the All-Ireland semi-final in Toomevara, Co Tipperary on Saturday. Also Olivia Leonard with Dublin ladies, who took on Westmeath in the Leinster Final in Dr Cullen Park, Carlow on Sunday. Well done to Dublin U13s, who made the trip to Knockavilla, Co Tipperary today. They played 2 games, winning 1 and losing one. Well done to Aoife Bissett, who played well in her game. IN the AFL Division 3 on Saturday evening, Naomh Olaf defeated Fingallians, 2-10 to 0-11 away. In the AFL Division 9, Naomh Olaf defeated St Sylvester's, 1-10 to 0-8, at home. This followed a good win in the Championship on Wednesday night, when the team defeated Clann Mhuire 2-9 to 0-7. The team are through to Championship quarter-final. In the Minor Hurling League Division 3 on Sunday, Olaf's lost out to a stronger O'Toole's side on the day. Final score: 2-14 to 1-8. On Wednesday night, three Naomh Olaf girls lined out for the Dublin in what was a first for the club. Clara O'Sullivan captained Dublin U16 footballers against Kerry in the All-Ireland semi-final in Nenagh. Roisin MacLoughlin, just back from injury, lined out for the Minor A Camogie team in the first round of the Championship against Offaly in Artane and Chloe Ni Ceallaigh was on the Minor B panel for their opening Championship match against Laois in Abbeyleix. It wasn't to be the best night for any of the teams on this occasion, but we are all very proud of the effort they put in to represent Naomh Olaf at county level. WELL done to our minors hurlers, having two fantastic wins in the league in the past week. First up were Kilmacud at home last Wednesday, where the scoreline represents the desire in the team to play well and win. On Sunday, the lads went to Naomh Olaf to notch up another tremendous scoring win. Hunger certainly is good sauce for this team. They want nothing but to play with great gusto and be triumphant. Calling all parents and mentors, volunteers needed to bag-pack in Donaghmede SC for an hour this Friday, anytime from 12pm-9pm, to help raise funds for the Carers Association. This coming weekend in our friendly lounge, we have quizzes, games and great music. On Saturday, it's the fab 'Diablo' and Sunday 6pm-8pm, it's Chris Deans. Unfortunately, it was The Kingdom that progressed to the final. Our U8 boys had a fab day out in Croke Park and even got to play on the hollowed ground. Thanks to all involved for making it such a great day. Our minor footballers are going from strength-to-strength. Winning again this time v Ballyboden, 3-12 to 1-9. They are looking for your support on Wednesday at home v Clontarf. Throw-in 7.30pm. This very successful Division 1 minor football team are looking for a sponsor. GREAT performance by the ladies in the second half of their game on Wednesday evening to secure the win and a semi-final spot in the Cup. Good result for the senior team on Saturday evening, as they overturned a five-point deficit in the second half to draw with league leaders Round Towers. On Sunday, the 2nd football team had a great win in their game, while the Junior Bs lost out in theirs. Hurling fixtures this week, starting with a Division 4 game on Wednesday evening home to St Brigid's at 7.30pm, followed by an away game v Clanna Gael on Saturday at 6.30pm. The 2nd team head to Clondalkin on Thursday evening and welcome Whitehall Colmcille to the club on Sunday at 10.15am for their league games. The trip to Monaghan on Saturday was a great success and the 65 Club participants enjoyed the hospitality of Donaghmoyne GAA. Thanks to Ronan and Joanne for organising the trip. The touring party enjoyed food and the Munster Final back in the clubhouse on their return, with plenty of post-match analysis and entertainment during the evening.
