As we head towards the business end of the season in all competitions, may we wish all our clubs a successful 2015.

Our offices at Abbotstown reopen tonight after the festive break. We also encourage clubs to use the LSL PO Box 9422 Dublin 6w.

The transfer window closes on January 31st 2015. Make sure all your documentation is in order and that the player is free of outstanding fines or suspensions. Remember, if you are transferring a player from another league the transfer fee is paid to the league the player is LEAVING.

League fees are now overdue. Any enquiries should be made to Joe Chester and fee settlements addressed to him.

Phase one of the new development at Abbotstown is nearing completion. The top of the range full size, floodlit Astro pitch is almost finished and we will have use of it as part of our investment in the complex.

We asked all clubs to review outstanding fines during the break. We are grateful to the clubs that have made an effort. Clubs who have not paid will be held up and games awarded against them. Give Joe a call to avoid this sanction.

As we start the second half of the season clubs are reminded that racism, abuse or violence in any form is not acceptable in our league. Sanctions are harsh and breaches could mean removal from the League.

Deepest sympathy to Dave Grogan of Newtown Rangers on the sad passing of his father Con. Our thoughts are with him and his family at this difficult time.

The LSL would like to forward on their deepest condolences to all at Ringsend Rovers following the tragic death of Brian Morrissey, one of the club's players, who passed away over Christmas. Our thoughts are with the club and Brian's family.

We are delighted to announce that the final of the FAI Intermediate Cup will be played at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday 17th May 2015. We would like to thank all our clubs for their support in achieving this, also our gratitude to John Delaney CEO and the FAI domestic committee.

See three great games, England, Scotland and Poland, with 1 great ticket. Packages can be ordered through Joe Chester at the LSL.

Clubs who fail to show for fixtures will be sanctioned as per rule with the maximum fine.

Please keep in touch with your opponent and match official to ensure all is in order for your fixture. A simple call can avoid mix-ups and cancellations.

Results should be forwarded to your divisional secretary immediately after your game. This is vital to have up to date league tables and for planning future fixtures.

LSL fixtures are printed in STRIKER in Monday's Herald. This is the official list and the only media outlet licensed to do so. Support the Herald as they support YOUR league.
