Amy Huberman's latest TV offering, comedy series Finding Joy, will debut on American station Acorn TV this evening.

The actress wrote and starred in the show, which premiered on Irish tele- vision in October.

Finding Joy had the highest-rating comedy debut for RTE this year, drawing in an average audience of 378,000.

The show proved particularly popular with women aged 35 to 54, with a 36pc share.

It also had a reach of 604,000 over the episode and a bigger debut than The Young Offenders.

However, the second episode dropped 101,000 viewers compared with the first week.

It was watched by an average audience of 277,000, with a share of 22pc.

The series follows Joy, who has found herself as a reluctant "vlogger" when her work colleague Flora, played by Laura Whitmore, has to take a break from work due to botched facial resurfacing.

Excitement

Meanwhile, Joy, played by Huberman, is navigating her way through a break-up and getting used to a new, unordered existence.

The show also stars Aisling Bea, who is currently in America as she is set to appear alongside Hollywood actor Paul Rudd in Netflix comedy Living With Yourself.

Her role is currently under wraps.

Huberman took to Insta- gram yesterday to share her excitement.

"Joy is coming to America. Finding Joy is premiering stateside on Acorn TV Monday December 3 and I am thrilled and giddy," she said.
