Allardyce offers Keane a way out of Lane

Sam Allardyce has entered the race for Robbie Keane by admitting he would be interested in signing the Ireland captain next month.

The Blackburn manager, also interested in Spurs midfielder David Bentley, said: "If Tottenham say Robbie Keane and David Bentley are available, then you are interested.

"If they are, then I think we will be one of many, many clubs who would be interested. I have identified some targets and some talks have started . It's just a question of how much, that's the key element, because there are various targets at various prices and we will not rule out a loan signing either."

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp, however, might prefer a swap deal with Wolves for Irish striker Kevin Doyle - with Keane heading to Molineux.
