Alannah flaunts her fashion sense at Arnotts show

SHE left her short-lived career as a model behind last summer in order to concentrate on her studies, but budding legal eagle Alannah McGurk is determined to keep a hand in fashion for the immediate future.

The former model and 22-year-old daughter of RTE star Miriam O'Callaghan proved she still had a keen eye for style when she stepped out to the Arnotts Autumn/Winter Fashion show in the store's Conrad shop last night.

Dressed down in a simple black waistcoat, white T-shirt and jeans, Alannah enjoyed a front-row view as her friends from the modelling world -- including Lynn Kelly and Sarah Morrissey -- took to the catwalk to debut the key trends for this season.

An insider revealed how the ambitious beauty has been approached by a glossy publication about sharing her fashion dos and don'ts with readers each month.

As a result, Alannah is expected to become a regular at such high-brow fashion events.

The leggy brunette was one of more than 300 guests, who attended the stylish event, with stylish Maria Fusco explaining how she had jetted home from Italy earlier that day in order to make the show.

Other well-known names in attendance included Virginia Macari, Aisling O'Loughlin, designer Peter O'Brien, designer Deborah Veale, Tara O'Leary, Emily O'Donnell and Nadine O'Flynn.

Each of the guests went home with a generous goody bag filled with an Arnotts voucher, Bobbi Brown make-up voucher, Rituals shower gel and Miller Harris perfume.
