Aiden left 'gutted' as he gets the boot
AIDEN Grimshaw declared it was "only the beginning" after being booted off the X Factor.
The 18-year-old from Blackpool lost after finding himself in the bottom two with the controversial Katie Waissel.
Speaking on the Xtra Factor on ITV 2 last night, Aiden said: "It has sunk in now, it's cool.
"I'm pretty gutted because it's such an amazing show and I won't see Dannii again. But it's only the beginning for me."
"You win some, you lose some," Aidam added.
Mentor Dannii Minogue said she was "absolutely shocked" by the results.
"As a judge you feel responsible, you keep going over in your mind what happened, what you could have done differently."
Aiden added: "I've never tried to be a pop star or thought of myself as an X Factor contestant really.
"I'm just a guy with a quiff who likes to sing."
Katie, who has already survived several sing-offs in the competition, meanwhile thanked fans for voting for her after clinging on to her X Factor dream.
Told this could be her final week, judges took the competition to deadlock last night. The 24-year-old gasped and clutched her head in her hands as host Dermot O'Leary announced the result of the public vote, putting an end to Aiden's X Factor ambitions.
"That's a big shock," he added, apparently echoing Katie's own sentiments.
"I'm really grateful that people kept me in," she said.
"I've been in the bottom two a lot now, then there were people out there who see me for who I am, and I want to thank them."
