Andrews Lane Theatre (Collins)

Andrews Lane Theatre has been put up for sale at just under a third of what it changed hands for in 2007.

It is on the market through CBRE for €3.1m, almost 33pc of the €9.25m that a consortium paid for the property at the height of the Celtic Tiger boom years.

Crash

The Dublin theatre, which became one of the best-known entertainment venues in the city, closed in 2007 ahead of redevelopment, but those plans were put on ice after the disastrous property crash.

In recent years Andrews Lane has seen a number of short-term tenants who have operated the property as an alternative bar and night club.

It is being sold, however, with vacant possession.

CBRE's Peter Garrigan, who is managing the sale, said he "expects the landmark building to attract a wide variety of bidders".
