1,300 battle for award

More than 1,300 applications have been made for the first national Entrepreneurial Business Awards.

The awards website has received almost 100,000 hits in the three months leading up to the application closing date.

There is now a shortlist of 80 businesses for the national final, where one company will receive a prize worth €100,000.
