The next fair in Gorey Shopping Centre on the mezzanine floor is next Saturday, April 20, from 11am- 5.30pm. In the 19 months since this monthly craft fair started it has produced and discovered many talented crafts people from Wexford, Wicklow, Waterford, Carlow and Dublin. It's the 25th Fair on Saturday and again promises to be a great colourful display of the best of Irish crafts from fashion and baby/ children knitting and sewing to home decor of pottery and woodwork- unusual jewellery and demos of wool spinning and for kids the ever popular face painting. There will be more than 30 stands.
The April winning numbers for the North Wexford Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals monthly fundraising lotto draw are two, five, twelve and twenty-two. There was no winner of the €4,050 jackpot and three tickets were pulled out in the lucky dip draw, these winners were Jennifer Zain, Margaret Deacon and Sweet Moments.
Next month's lotto jackpot increases to €4,100 and the draw will be held on Monday May 13 in the Loch Garman Arms, Gorey. The lotto also has a Multi-Draw facility where people can enter the draw up to six months in advance - you select the same numbers and they are automatically submitted every month, ask sellers for details. The Society is looking for additional ticket sellers, if you can help, contact their lotto volunteers number on 087-6392539 to be included
51 Bridge Club
Olive Noonan's President's Prize game will be played on Wednesday May 1 at 7pm. Entries are now being taken. Now that the weather is getting milder, we will be delighted to see all those members who have been house bound.

Gorey Special Olympics club is holding a table quiz in the Loch Garmen Arms hotel on Thursday, April 24, at 8pm. Table of 4 is €20 with raffle and prizes. All welcome.

The next meeting of the North Wexford Historical Society will be held on Friday, April 26, at 8p.m. in Gorey Library. The guest speaker will be Mr. Ted Barrington, former Irish Ambassador to the U.K. and native of Gorey. He will speak about the Good Friday Agreement and also his memories of Gorey. Everyone welcome. Admission - members free, non-members 5 euro. The Society would like to apologize to members and all interested parties for the cancellation of last month's talk at short notice. This was necessitated by the flooding on the N11 near Bray which caused problems for the speaker who had to travel from Dublin. It is hoped to reschedule this talk for some future date.
If you are struggling with anxiety, panic attacks, depression or need someone to talk too, we are here to help. Support meetings take place in Gorey Community College, Wednesdays at 7.30pm room 101 and at Gorey Family Resource Centre on Thursdays at 10am.
