'In the open team competition, the honours went to Wesley College, Balinteer with Loreto College, Wexford taking second place. A young team of three from Coláiste Bhríde were placed third. The John Doyle jumping tracks were inviting but asked riders to concentrate,' she said.

'Congratulations to all who competed on the day, it was as always an exciting event. We especially want to thank all our sponsors for their support'.

The novice competition was contested with an 27 teams in total taking part in the show jumping.

First place was cupped up by Presentation College, Wexford, while second place went to the host school, Coláiste Bhríde.

A competitive St Gerard's School, Bray team took the third place rosette.

The Primary Schools' team event had 11 teams in competition, with the Gorey Central School placing third here, as two schools from Kildare came first and second.

The team competitions were followed by individual show jumping, and the spokesperson for Coláiste Bhríde said that the standard was excellent.
