Third year students at the Wexford Campus School of Art and Design of It Carlow are hosting a group show in the Creative Hub at Bullring Mall, Wexford which will continue until March 22.

The exhibition titled 7 Circuits features the exciting work of seven art students covering such diverse topics and themes as space, sound, identity, family portraits, connections, isolation and landscape.

The students are Ciaran O' Brien who is interested in performance and the science of sound; Padraig Sinnott who uses instillation and performance to explore the everyday; Darragh Bierney is inspired by the work of Picasso and the notion of isolation; Jennifer Lyons has a connection with nature and loves painting landscapes; Megan Walsh uses collage to depict her personal interests and family; Kate Murphy looks at portraiture and how it represents an image of life and connection; Colm McDonald works with the topic of identity and the challenge of finding oneself.

The students are appreciative of the support of the Arts Department of Wexford County Council which allowed them to use space in the Creative Hub to display their work.

County Arts Officer Liz Burns officially opened the show. The tasks of creating, managing, funding and promoting an exhibition are part of the course work for 3rd year students.
