It seems like a lifetime ago since legendary Wexford musicians Pierce Turner and Mick Egan hit the Wexford Arts Centre Stage back in December.

In the meantime we've been making our way through the Covid pandemic and Pierce has been doing his best to keep us entertained with his Corona Concerts from home.

Number seven in the series looks set to be a special one as he reunites with Egan on stage at the Arts Centre for a special behind closed doors concert which will take place this Sunday at 9 p.m.

While last time the duo performed to a capacity crowd, just six months later they will take to the iconic stage in a quietened venue, but they hope to reach a whole host of people in the comfort of their own homes.

Up to this point, Pierce has been going it alone with the Corona Concerts, with just his wife Clare helping him out and he's looking forward to having the company of his good friend Mick, as he concedes 'it was getting a bit lonely'. Pierce is also looking forward to getting reacquainted with the upright piano at the Arts Centre, which he says will allow him to explore more unusual material, including some new stuff he's been working on.

While you can watch for free, you can purchase tickets to support the artist at www.pierceturner.com/store or through PayPal at piercenewyork@aol.com. The concert will go out live from 9 p.m. via the Pierce Turner Facebook page.
