Children and adults had an enjoyable evening at Little Crickets créche, montessori and afterschool care annual fundraiser for the Laura Lynn Children's Hospice foundation.

'Little Crickets was packed for the fundraiser, I've never seen anything like it. The créche has supported Laura Lynn for the last three years, we have raised €6,800 to date and this year the town has supported us tremendously,' said a staff member of Little Crickets.

'We would like to thank everyone who came out and gave us their support. It was great to see little kids helping other little kids, becausae it raises awareness and makes the children see that we can help and put our best foot forward,' she added.

With over €1,400 raised the evening, there were raffle prizes such as hampers and vouchers, face painting and visit from the Carnew and Gorey Fire Department as well as Jessie and Mark from Elysium on hand for entertainment.

'Huge thanks also goes to the local business for their overwhelming support. Together we were reminded that we are very blessed to be healthy,' said owners Sharon and Hugh Carabine of Little Crickets.
