Wexford County Council achieved 98 per cent of its 2018 target for social housing projects by the end of the third quarter of last year, according to a report compiled by the Department of Housing, Planning, and Local Government.

The Social Housing Construction Projects Status Report (SHCPS), published by Minister Eoghan Murphy TD, indicated that the target figure for the year for Wexford was 627 housing units and at the end of the third quarter of the year 615 of those were completed.

That figure was broken down into a number of different categories with 470 units coming in under the HAP (Housing Assistance Payment) scheme and six under the RAS (Rental Accommodation Scheme).
