The Light Room at Place will be unveiled this week

Place Boutique in Gorey is launching an innovative project on Thursday, October 26 at 7 p.m.

The Light Room will be a temporary interactive installation in the boutique and the unique project will be the first of its kind in a retail space in Ireland.

The concept of the Light Room is to offer a calm and holistic space amid the busy activity of a typical day in Gorey as well as a chance to re-energise on all levels.

The multi-sensory experience is designed to brighten, relax, rejuvenate, uplift and recharge yourself by boosting your vitamin D levels.

Shorter and darker days from early Autumn through Winter, especially in Ireland, can cause serotonin levels to hibernate resulting in people feeling more tired, less motivated, less energetic and sometimes a little bit sad.

In this private and peaceful environment, people can light up your body, mood and soul by simply sitting in a comfy seat with a headset and some uplifting sounds or a guided meditation and let the light shine.

The Light Room sessions are from 30 - 60 minutes and ensures it remains a progressive, forward thinking retail space.

Combining contemporary ideas, clothing, design, art, holistic therapies, workshops, inspirational talks Place moves more along the lines of a gallery space, where everything is always evolving and changing with a positive new way of seeing, sharing and shopping.

The Light Room will run until February 3.
