Student Council delegates welcomed by Ramsgrange Community School

RAMSGRANGE COMMUNITY School had an air of the Seanad about it as it welcomed student council delegates from schools all over Wexford recently.

The Ramsgrange CS Student Council held a seminar for delegates from other schools to share their ideas of what they do with their student council.

Good Counsel College and St Mary's (both New Ross), FCJ Bunclody, Wexford VC, New Ross VC, Bridgetown VC, Loreto Wexford and Colaiste Bhride (Carnew) attended on the day.

Throughout the day, students also enjoyed talks by John Wills from Barnardos on the topic of cyber-bullying, while Sonia Dalton from her own company, Rise and Shine spoke on the topic of leadership and mindfulness.

Nathan O'Connor, PRO of the ISSU, spoke on the topic of the student council of Ireland and how its members could have an input into the future of young people in Ireland such as having an input into the new Junior Certificate in Ireland.

Each delegate was presented with a certificate at the end of the day.
