A North Wexford farm has sold for over €2m at auction. The residential property, located at Ballyconlore and Coolnagloose, Inch, went under the hammer of Warren Estates before a large crowd in the Ashdown Park Hotel on Thursday, August 22.

The property was sold in six separate lots at an average price of €13,210. Niall Slattery handled the sale and was delighted with the outcome.

'This is a unique property with excellent land and extensive road frontage to a number of local roads and local rivers. It is extremely well located in north County Wexford and has easy access to the M11,' he said.

Lot 4, which consisted of the main residence, some outbuildings and an old Mill, was sold for an impressive €500,000, exceeding the €350,000 guide price by some margin.

Lot 1 comprised of just under 40 acres of grassland at Coolnagloose and was the only lot on the eastern side of the Inch river. It had two local farmers bidding and sold for €390,000.

Lot 2, a small seven acre block of land, had a number of different bidders and sold for €122,000. The third lot was 34 acres of tillage land which attracted interest from three local parties and eventually sold for €475,000.

The largest block of land was Lot 5 which comprised 45 acres in total.

This land was a mixture of tillage and grassland and eventually sold for €537,000. Lot 6 comprised of approximately 18.5 acres of grassland and was sold for €235,000.

The total value of the sale was €2.259m.
