A partially collapsed path on Gorey's main street is hazardous to those who use it on a regular occurrence.

The path outside Alders Jewellers, which has since been filled, is just one of the many problems in relation to the state of path on the Main Street.

'Given the number of people using it everyday, I'm disappointed that it hasn't been more of a priority,' said local councillor Malcolm Byrne.

Cllr Byrne said he has been bringing up the issue of the state of some of the paths on the Main Street for a while.

'There are problems for wheelchair users and buggies where paths are uneven and if it rains, water lodged in certain areas,' said Cllr Byrne. He added they have a number of problems and this is one is just the latest.
