There was a hive of activity in Wells House and Gardens last weekend for the annual Celebration Day.

The celebration was for five local children's charities - Cottage Autism Network, Down Syndrome Wexford, Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, Alannah House and St Aidan's Day Centre Gorey.

The event is geared towards celebrating children with disabilities.

The kids enjoyed a free day of face-painting, barbecue, music, ice-cream, puppet show, animal tours and so much more.

The day was organised by Wells House and Gardens as a way to give back to the community and much of the day was funded from the proceeds collected from their Wishing Well in the garden.

'The idea of the day is to make sure that customers' donations are distributed locally so that they can see how much they truly make a difference,' said Marketing Manager Niamh Carolan.

Sabine and Uli Rosler of Wells House would like to say a huge thank you to all their customers for contributing to such a great cause and also to the five charities involved in the Celebration Day.
