The organisers of a Ford Fest event which took place in August have presented the money raised from the event to Craanford Community Field Trust.

The presentation was made to Ger Doran, representing the Trust, in Mary Anne's Pub on Thursday night and the organisers were delighted to announce that €14,010 was raised at the event.

The initiative took the form of a summer festival in the village.

The event was organised by Raymond Byrne and a team of helpers and they were delighted to be able to hand over the money to the Chairperson of the Trust, Ger Doran.

Mr Byrne and his team were complimented by those in attendance including Cllrs Anthony Donoghue and Malcolm Byrne who they said 'selflessly' organised the event over the last few years.

James Doyle also thanked everyone for their support which he said was much appreciated.

The people present were also told the money will be put to very good use.

Following the handover ceremony those in attendance were treated to some light refreshments and music from John Bass and friends.
