All eyes in North Wexford will be glued to Ireland's Got Talent this Saturday night as Gorey singer Eoin Walsh takes to the stage.

23-year-old Eoin from Ballycanew will perform for music mogul Louis Walsh, comedian Jason Byrne, British actress Denise Van Outen and American singer and TV personality Michelle Visage.

The talented singer will be hoping to impress the judges with his rendition of Brittany Spear's Toxic so that he can progress to the next stage of the competition.

In addition to his singing talents Eoin is also a highly accomplished guitar player and will also be playing this in the audition.

Eoin credits both his granny and his late mother Denise with his singing ability and he first began singing at the tender age of eight years old. He has studied under Deirdre Masterson since he was 8 and also sang with his former school, Gorey Community School, where he said the teachers were also a great help to progressing his musical ability.

He has just completed a degree in Commercial Modern Music from BIMM in Dublin.

He plays guitar with local man Mick Sheridan and is very well known on the North Wexford musical scene.

The son of Paul and the late Deirdre Eoin has one brother Cormac and three sisters, Naomi, Caitlin and Rachel.

He is also very active in Gorey Rugby Club and also coaches rugby in St Gerard's School in Bray. He also works with his dad Paul at Gorey Rifle and Pistol Range.

Eoin is hoping to impress the judges on Saturday night in a bid to kick start his musical career.

He will appear on Ireland's Got Talent on Saturday at 7.30 p.m.
