Educate to Innovate set for tense final

This year's Educate to Innovate school business awards programme culminates in a grand final which will be staged in Gorey Library on Thursday, May 11.

The finalists will be exhibiting their projects to the public from 5 p.m. onwards, and judging starts at 7 p.m.

The students hail from five participating schools in North Wexford and South Wicklow and they were selected to take part in the final during a preliminary round of judging at their respective schools.

In addition, a number of wild card entries may also be selected to be included in the final of the transition year programme.

The awards are sponsored by local tech company Innovate.

A panel of judges, chaired by Jim Hughes, CEO of Innovate, has been put together, and will include several prominent local business people.

They will give all entries a through inspection and there will be much deliberation before the announcement of the winners and the presentation of prizes later that evening.
