Two Wexford Masters students have been selected for the Intel Masters sponsorship programme at UCD which will see them receiving a monetary grant as well as ongoing support and mentor provision.

The two Wexford participants are Danny Dreelan and James Barron, both of whom are doing a Master of Engineering course in Mechanical Engineering.

Danny, from Bunclody, is a former pupil of the FCJ Secondary School. He originally studied Engineering in UCD. James, from New Ross, is a graduate of the Good Counsel College and his original degree was in (Mechanical) Engineering in UCD.

The programme provides each participant with €3,000 to support their studies and also ensures that students have the opportunity to experience practical learning which is aligned to the needs of the industry. The provision of employee mentors by Intel provides students with a direct relationship to the world of work.
