Cycle Against Suicide to host Orange Tie Ball in Gorey
After a fun filled event in 2016, the fifth annual Orange Tie Ball makes its return to Gorey this year on Saturday, November 9, with a special nod of honour to the Gorey 400 celebrations.
'We are all delighted to have the event back in Gorey again in this very special year. Gorey and North Wexford have been amazing since day one and this is our way of saying thank you to the local community and giving something back as everyone here has embraced all Cycle Against Suicide events throughout the years. We'd love to have a full house,' said Joe Dixon, organiser of the event.
Taking place again at the Ashdown Park hotel, with a processco reception at 7 p.m. the event will begin at 8 p.m. and promises to be the best yet.
Entertainment will include music by The Pearls and guests from all around the country will turn out along with local supporters and volunteers.
Joe Dixon has been a long term supporter of Cycle Against Suicide, having first gotten involved in 2013.
Joe lost his son Fergus Dixon to suicide nine years ago in 2010.
'The charity is helping to change peoples' lives for the better, in raising awareness and breaking the stigma,' he said.
Tickets are €50 or €45 for a table of ten people, with all money raised going to schools peer learning programme, which is currently involved with five Wexford schools.
Tickets can be purchased online at cycleagainstsuicide.com or by contacting Joe Dixon on 087 3389449 and for updates on the event, search 'Orange Tie Ball 2019' on Facebook.
