Gorey Youth Needs are over-the-moon to have received more than 30 bags of food from Curves Gym on the Arklow Road in Gorey.

Manger at Curves Yvonne Kinsella said they held a food drive for two months, where anyone could sign up for gym membership free-of-charge if they simply brought in a bag of food.

'I used to work in Gorey Youth Needs for six months before working here,' added Yvonne. 'They do so much good, so I thought it would be nice to give something back.'

Gorey Youth Needs prepare and make food for pupils and students who attend their after school-programme. 'They also provide great services such as health and fitness, cookery, crafts and personal development,' added Yvonne.

The Youth Needs now have a Young LGBT Group for people aged between 16 and 19-years. They meet every Wednesday from 6 p.m., and take part in activities such as photography, alcohol awareness programmes and much more.
