Applications sought for Business Awards

County Wexford Chamber of Commerce has announced that it is now accepting applications for the 2019 Wexford Business Awards. Now in its 11th year, the annual event seeks to recognise the entrepreneurialism, innovation, diversity and talent that exists within the county Wexford business community.

This year's awards ceremony will take place in Clayton Whites Hotel on Friday, May 24, and is set to be a glamorous affair as always.

'The Wexford Business Awards is the highlight of the year for the local business community,' said Wexford Chamber President Graham Scallan. 'With categories for every business, regardless of their size or the sector which they operate in, I would encourage all of the business owners across County Wexford to participate in this year's awards.'

Applications for the awards can now be submitted online via wexfordbusinessawards.ie by Friday, March 29. Following an independent and transparent judging process, the category award winners will be announced at the gala event on May 24, before the much coveted winner of the County Wexford Business of the Year award is announced.

The categories for this year's awards are as follows: Visitor Attraction of the Year, Hospitality Provider of the Year, the Operational Excellence Award, the E-Commerce Excellence Award, Excellence in Retail Award, SME of the Year (1-50 employees), SME of the Year (50+ employees), Social Media and Digital Marketing Excellence Award, Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility, Wexford Social Enterprise Outstanding Achievement Award, Wexford Start-Up Business Award, Family Business of the Year, Training Provider of the Year, Service Industry Provider of the Year, Food & Beverage Producer of the Year, Green Award for Best Environmental Practice, Outstanding Contribution to Business Award and Wexford Excellence in International Trade.
