Variety night proves Craanford has talent
Top calibre entertainment was on the menu at the Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey recently, as the Craanford variety night took over the ballroom for the evening.
The high-energy show, which was produced by Sinead Tobin, included performances by musicians, singers, dancers from Tuaisceart Loch Garman; comedy from Jimmy Doran; a sketch from Mick Lyons featuring Ger Doran and Donal Kenny; Craanford Parish Choir; Matt Murphy; John Furlong; drummers Paddy Doyle and Conor Moore; the O'Fhaoilain family singers; and Gerry O'Callaghan. Thanks went to Mandy O'Callaghan for the musical accompaniment.
Door prizes were won by Timmy Kirwan and Teresa Radford, while raffle prizes were won by Caitriona Doran, Tommy Kinsella, Bridie Fox, Alice Doyle and Sam Weeks.
Thanks were sent to the Ashdown Park Hotel, all who donated raffle prizes, and all who supported the event. A total of €4,156 was raised on the evening for the dressing room project which is currently under construction at the sports complex at the Craanford Community Field.
