Skydivers hold a tea party before they take the plunge
The Kenny home at Rossminogue, Craanford recently hosted a tea party in aid of the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
It was part of fundraising efforts being undertaken by Caoimhe Kenny, Roisin Kenny, and Conor Hughes who were planning a charity skydive on August 28. Guests were treated to tea, coffee, cakes, sandwiches, and plenty of stories were told. They were delighted to report the day raised over €3,500, and sincere thanks went to all who supported the day in any way.
They thanked Samantha Whelan, Wexford home care co-ordinator with the Alzheimer Society, who attended the event to speak to those present about the charity's work.
Thanks also went to the raffle prize sponsors including: McCauleys pharmacy; Redmond Electric; La Creme 2; Ballymoney Golf Club; Making Faces; Myles Doyle; Halford's hair studio; Molls and Dolls; Hickey's pharmacy; Breen's Bar; Lily Bloom; Whitmore jewellers; Katie Daly's; Jack Dunne and Son; Lloyd's pharmacy; and K&K Windows.
