Joe Dixon, local representative of Cycle Against Suicide, was invited along to the St Aidan's Saiorse training centre at Gorey Business Park recently, to be presented with a work of art created by the trainees.

They recently staged an exhibition titled 'Fits 2 A T (cup)' featuring many of the tea cup themed works they created at their regular craft group with tutor Helen Tobin.

The imaginative pieces of art were created using recycled tea cups and saucers on the theme of people talking to each other.

The trainees used their imagination to decorate them in a style that reflected something personal, such as dedicating them to a loved one who had passed away, or reflecting their interests.

The exhibition ran for several weeks at Gorey Library, and Helen explained that afterwards, the trainees decided to present one of the pieces to Joe Dixon of Cycle Against Suicide. She said that this particular charity was chosen as it promotes the importance of talking to each other.
