Oulart residents take on battle to B-Fit!

Pádraig Byrne

Around 200 people from the local area have made the commitment to get fit and healthy over the coming weeks as they signed up for the 'B-Fit' lifestyle transformation fundraiser for Oulart the Ballagh GAA Club.

The event will see numerous fundraising activities taking place every week, as well as walks, obstacle courses, vehicle pulls and much, much more. There was a great attendance at Oulart Community Centre for the official weigh-in and participants squared off into teams who will battle it out to see who can shed the most weight and raise the most money.

Among the weekly activities taking place are walking on the upper pitch on Monday nights from 7 p.m., line dancing in the hall on Tuesday nights from 7 p.m., keep-fit class on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and there will also be a walk at the upper pitch at 9.30 a.m. from Monday to Friday for anyone wishing to take part.

For more information on the challenge and the many fundraisers and events, keep an eye on the Oulart the Ballagh GAA Facebook page as well as the local notes.
