Donate your old newspapers and help needy
Wexford Society of St. Vincent de Paul is appealing to households and businesses throughout the county to donate old newspapers to help raise funds for families in need.
The charity has announced a new project in partnership with Recycling 2000 which will make a contribution to St. Vincent de Paul for all the newspapers collected at nominated recycling points.
Wexford Area President Mary Dempsey said the society is very excited about the new initiative.
'We're confident that the people of Wexford will once again get behind us.'
'Our goal is that Recycling 2000 will collect 50% more newspapers than they did last year which will translate into a sizeable donation to the St. Vincent de Paul,' said Mary.

'The majority of households and businesses are now segretgating their waste and have adopted excellent recycling habits,' said Brendan Ennis, Chief Executive of Recycling 2000.
'We are now looking for these same people to make one more change and bring their newspapers to a SVP recycle bin.
'By doing this, they will be making a donationto St. Vincent de Paul and also supporting a community project that employs 12 people,' he said
