Dancing near the crossroads for Kilanerin Tidy Towns
It takes a lot of work to keep an area looking at its best, and the local community in Kilanerin recently turned out in force to support the main annual fundraiser of the local Tidy Towns group.
Health and safety regulations don't allow for the Dancing at the Crossroads event to be held at the actual crossroads in the village, but the nearby car park at Noel Murphy's is the next best thing.
There was a good turnout in fine weather for the evening which included a barbecue, followed by music and dancing with The Vinyl Fridays, and DJ Anthony Donohoe.
Thanks went to all who helped organise and set up; provided materials; prepared and cooked the food; those who provided raffle prizes; and all who supported the evening.
These are busy times in Kilanerin with the recent completion of the walking and the new all weather pitch at the community field, as well as the new school extension, and the imminent opening of phase two of the mixed use centre.
