February's Parish Draw winner's were; Pat Kelly, Frankfort - €100, Raymond Murphy, Medophall - €50, Margaret Frend, Ballyclough - €20, Johnny Murphy, Main St - €20, Hilda Redmond, Main St - €10.
Lydia Kehoe, thirteen year old daughter of Joe and Bernie, Camolin won the gold medal in the individual 400 metres medley, held in the National Aquatic Centre, Dublin recently. Representing New Ross swimming club, Lydia's dedication has resulted in achieving 2 Gold medals in the All- Ireland Schools Championship to date. Congratulations to Lydia, a first year student from Gorey C.S and to her Parents for persevering long hours in helping to nurture her talent.
Camolin Celtic's u14 girls, won the league championship for the second consecutive year, by defeating Rosslare Rangers 3-0, in the penultimate decider of the 2B League title in Camolin. Presented with the League trophy to captain Siofra Doyle, from the Wexford vice-chairman Barry Dempsey, to the rapturous applause from the large attendance present.
The girls are an incredible success story, having only been formed only two years ago, and managed by Mick Curran and Paul Nugent. Credit must go to the two mentors in bringing the girls so far in such a short space of time, exceeding all expectations. The girls are an immensely talented and determined bunch will in the near future be vying for places in the adult team.
We salute Aoife Curran, Nicole Curran, Anna Doyle, Teghan Furlong, Nicole Byrne, Chloe Ronan, Abby Nugent, Chelsea Kelly, Amy Kelly, Aoife Ronan, Maggie Hobbs, Chloe House, Pheana O' Brien, Rebecca Doran and Siofra Doyle. Club celebrations in the offering are planned in the near future.
Enrolment forms are available for 2012, for the new school year, in Camolin National School office from 9am- 12 noon, Monday- Friday. Closing date for enrolments is March 30th.
Holly Marie Roche, daughter of Mary, St. Moling's Tarrace was baptised in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Camolin recently.
