Coolgreany - Cancer Support coffee - There will be a coffee morning in aid of Arklow Cancer Support and Cancer Trials Ireland, on Saturday, November 2, in the May Byrne Trust House Coolgreany from 11am to 1pm.
There will be a Home Baking sale and a Raffle Draw on the day kindly donated by local businesses and families. Raffle tickets are on sale €2 per strip or three strips for €5, to be in with a chance to win cash prizes, vouchers, hampers and gifts, with tickets available from Frances Millar, Ann Kavanagh, Siobhán Hayes, Áine Rothwell and Cullen's Shop in Ballyfad. A Buy my Dress night will be held in O'Rafferty's Lounge on Wednesday, November 6, at 7.30 p.m. where everyone will have an opportunity to purchase Dresses, Coats, Handbags and many other items of quality, all proceeds will go to help upgrade the Christmas lights in the village. Great War Commemoration at Woodenbridge
There will be a Great War Commemoration this Sunday, November 3, at 3 p.m. in Woodenbridge. Audiences will be treated to a hilarious evening of comedy, as Craanford Drama take to the stage in Sam Cree's Cupid Wore Skirts.
This three-act play follows the tribulations of widower Andrew Coulter's love life. While undertaking a wager with his embittered sister-in-law, Andrew vows to find a wife and he places an advertisement in the personal ads. When three women accept Andrew's proposal, he soon realises that his problems have only just begun and mayhem ensues. Suitable for all the family.

Theresa Kelly would sincerely like to thank everyone who supported her with a coffee morning in aid of Cups Against Breast Cancer held on Friday, October 11. A massive €2,642.60 was raised through the generosity of family, friends and the wider community. Team of the week goes to the under-18 camogie girls, who won their semi-final last week and are due to play their final in Saturday, November 2, Well done also to the under-15 hurlers and footballers who won their semi-finals in the past week in theory one final will take place on Saturday, November 9. The under-13 hurling final is in St Patrick's Park Saturday the second at 11 a.m That leaves the under-16 camogie girls who played their final on Monday the 28th.
A reminder that the underage presentation takes palce in Sunday the 10th 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Shamrock Hall. All players mentors parents and the wider community are invited.
