Split-the-pot

Congratulations to the Saturday, April 27, winner of the split-the-pot, Breda Murphy, prize money was €225. Congratulations. Thanks to everyone for their continue support.

St Patrick's GAA lotto

No winner of last week's jackpot; winning numbers were 4, 6, 21 and 24. Emma Murphy and Molly Beckett matched three numbers to each receive €75.

The Parish Finance Committee and the choir members wish to thank everyone who supported the recent coffee morning in the Crosses for St Mary's Church. Thank you to Centra, Expert Hardware and the Crosses for their continued support which is very much appreciated. Total collected was €1,020.

Kilnamanagh Spring Fair

Please support the annual Kilnamanagh/Kilmuckridge Spring Fair on Saturday, May 11, from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Kilnamanagh Old School. There will all the usual stalls, home baking, country produce, bottle stall, bric-a - brac ect ect, plus grand raffle/cash and other prizes, and afternoon tea. Proceeds in aid of Kilnamanagh and Kilmuckridge Parishes.

Tidy Towns AGM

Kilmuckridge Tidy Towns will be holding their AGM Thursday, May 16, 7.30 p.m. Hammel's Lounge. If you feel you would like to get more involve in village activities or feel you could make a contribution in any way please come along? We would love for new faces to come along and have their say.

Kilmuckridge Drama Group

Many congratulations to Kilmuckridge Drama Group on their recent outstanding achievements at the all-Ireland Drama Festival in Doonbeg, Co Clare recently.

Hannah McNiven won best actress while Barry Turner won a scholarship for summer school. The group were also nominated under the following categories for stage presentation, lighting, stage management and supporting actor. The group performed 'The Righteous Are Bold' by Frank Carney during the festival. There was a wonderful atmosphere. Kilmuckridge Drama Group formed in 2007 and has won many awards, but it's the first time for Hannah to be honoured so many times in one season of drama.

An evening to celebrate the group's achievements was held in Joe Hammels recently. 'It's fantastic, the community are delighted' said Cllr Mary Farrell speaking about Kilmuckridge Drama Group. It brings the whole community together and everyone is so proud of them she said.

Walking/Running Group

An open social walking/running group has commenced in Kilmuckridge. Meets will take place at new time of 8 p.m. each Monday to Friday evening starting at St Joseph's NS for anyone who wishes to take part. Anyone interested can join the informational What's App Group by contacting Yvonne O'Sullivan at 087 9555282 or otherwise simply turn up any evening that suits and join in.

At least two members of the group will definitely be out each of the nights except for nights where a Red Warning has been issued for the area. This is a casual group set up to encourage people to get out and about with others in the community for some gentle exercise at a pace that suits each individual. Looking forward to meeting any new joiners.

Men's Shed

The Kilmuckridge Men's Shed is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10.30 till 16.00. Call in any time during these hours have a coffee meet everyone and see some of the projects the group have made. For more information phone 053 9130393. Everyone welcome all age groups.

Coffee Evening - thank you

Monamolin Parish Committee wish to thank all who supported the Coffee Evening on Saturday last, those who bought tickets, contributed raffle prizes, cakes, confectionary or helped in anyway to make this event a great success. Funds raised go towards parish expenses and Graveyard Development.
