Askamore: Split-the-pot. Friday, June 14, winner of split-the-pot is Flinn Kavanagh, Knockshaunfin, Ballyellis - winning €125. We thank everyone for supporting split-the-pot. Envelopes can be obtained from the School or any parent and from Ashling Walsh after weekend Mass in Askamore Church.

Draws will take place every Friday morning in Ballyellis School.

Hollywood comes to Askamore.

Groups and their mentors are busy planning fundraising events which will be run over the next few weeks and months. It is hoped everyone far and near will support these fundraisers. You can find the calendar of events on askamorecommunity.wordpress.com. The 'Oscars' awards will be held in the Amber Springs Hotel in Gorey on Saturday, October 26.

Carbon Monoxide Alarms.

Muintir na Tíre will provide Carbon Monoxide alarms to the following - Older person - Person with Disability - Unemployed. Askamore Journal 5

Askamore Journal 5 is currently being compiled using photographs from any early date up to and including the year 2000. Weddings, family/other occasions, school, portraits, machinery, etc, etc... anything and everything goes. Contact Davy Donohoe at 086 0820146 for further details.

Le Chéile Park

Finches Fitness

Pilates classes continue in Askamore at 8.45 a.m. every Wednesday followed by fitness classes at 10 a.m. and Fit for Anything group 11.15-12.15. Contact Declan at 086 8468165.

GAA lotto

The latest lotto jackpot wasn't won. The numbers drawn were 7, 9, 20 and 31. Lucky-dip winners were Frank and Ciara Doyle, John Foley, Sarah Codd and Agg Kennedy. Gahan's Village Bar, Clohamon won the Sellers' Prize. The next draw is in Coleman's, Tombrack, on Tuesday, June 25, where the jackpot will be up to €5,400. €2 tickets are widely available off club members.

Ballamon Bull Fest III

Preparations are well under way for the third Ballamon Bull Fest barn dance, which this year will be held on Saturday, July 6, The GAA Club's charity partners this year will be the two national schools in the parish as well as the two churches. Tickets (only €10) are available off committee members and adult players.

Carnew NS split-the-pot

The lucky winner of €211 in our split-the-pot draw was Cathy Hipple. Congratulations. The seller's prize was won by Colin Lawrence, who won a €10 voucher for Victors and the lucky-dip winner was Sophie Twamley. Next draw is on Friday, June 21. Thanks for your support.

Ballycanew

Ballyoughter Patron

Ballyoughter Patron and blessing of graves will take place on Sunday, June 30, at 2 p.m. followed by annual field day in the Ballyoughter National School.

Golf classic

If you interested in playing then Ballycanew National School are holding a golf classic on June 21 in Courtown Golf Club. This is their main fundraiser for this year and all money raised will be used to clear the cost of a refurbishment of the school in recent years. Team of four €160. Tee Times from midday. Prizes for first, second and third, Nearest to Pin and Longest Drive.

Congratulations to Saturday, June 8, winner of the split-the-pot was David Donnelly prize money was €192. Congratulations. Thanks to everyone for their continue support.

St Patrick's GAA lotto

There was no winner of last week's jackpot; winning numbers were 14, 18, 20 and 28. Nobody matched three numbers so a donation was made to Camolin senior citizen.

Ballygarrett

80th birthday

Stasia Redmond of Killenagh would like to thank all her famliy, friends and neighbours for helping to celebrate her recent 80th birthday in O'Brien's pub with music provided by Tommy Carroll. It was a wonderful night. A big thanks for all the presents and donations received. A total of €1,140 was raised for the Irish Kidney Association.

Joan and Friends Fun Run

Joan and friends are holding a Fun Run/walk/Jog in Oulart on Sunday, July 14, starting at 4 p.m. outside Oulart Hill Bar. Adults €10, children €2. All proceeds in aid of Cardiac Unit Wexford.

New bus

There is a New bus from Kilmuckridge to Courtown to Gorey, running six days per week and three times per day. Adult fare - single €5/Travel Pass accepted. Timetable available at Kilmuckridge Family Resource Centre etc.

Tinnabearna swim week runs from Monday, July 22, to Saturday the 27th.

Family Resource Centre

The AGM of Kilmuckridge Family Resource Centre will be held on Tuesday, July 9, at 4.30 p.m. in the Cosher Centre (COTS Building beside Kate's). We would very much welcome your attendance.

First Responders

Tidy towns

Have you got an hour or two to spare every week? If so please come along and join the other volunteers at Kilmuckridge Tidy Town on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m., meet at the village car park.

On Wednesday evenings for the summer months a beach clean-up will take place at Morriscastle on Wednesdays evenings meet in the car park at 7 p.m. Gloves and pickers will be provided.

Bingo will be held in the Crosses lounge next Thursday night, June 20, in aid of Kilmuckridge Tidy Towns.
