All set for North Wexford's 'Crufts'

Canine Capers, which might well turn out to be North Wexford's answer to Crufts, promises to be a fun day out this summer for dogs and their human companions.

The event, which takes place on Sunday, July 10, in Askamore village, will feature a range of dog-related fun activities, including sheep dog trials, a dog show, dog agility events, as well as a demonstration on dog grooming, a veterinary talk on dog health, and a talk on health and safety for children around dogs.

On top of that, there's also a traditional country-style field day with lots of stalls to spark your interest. More details will be released closer to the time, but it's expected that the sheep dog trials will begin around 10 a.m. and the other events around midday.

The event is being organised by Askamore Munitir na Tíre to raise funds for Askamore Community Council, and for refurbishment works to Askamore Hall. So make sure to mark Sunday, July 10, in your, and your dog's, diary.
